Dr. Norman Johnson, a psychologist who once worked for the government on the subject of extraterrestrial life, is being called
by the navy to come and investigate post trauma plain-crash survivors. During the 30 hours flight to the middle of the Pacific Ocean no one tells him what has happened or even allows him to call his wife.
When he arrives he sees there are eight grey navy destroyers which are basically located in the middle of no where.
On one of the ships he meets with commander (Harold Barnes) who explains to him this isn’t really a plain-crash site but a spacecraft crash site. He tells him it is 300 years old and that he and 3 other scientists (astrophysicist, biologist and a mathematician), which were chosen by him when he was working for the government, are about to descend to the depths, for only 4 days, to explore the So-called alien vessel.
The spacecraft turns out to be a man-made vessel which is presumed to be from the future and somehow managed to go back in time, they find an alien sphere aboard it that is as big as a house, located in the middle of the ship in a strange room.
Their connection with the surface is being disconnected because of a typhoon that is on its way there, and the ships go to a safe place, in the meanwhile they are being left there all alone for a week or so, and then Strange things begin to happen to the crewmembers and the structure that has been built for them in the depths as they try to uplift the mysterious “vale” which evolves around the sphere.
